Event Description:
An exhibit about Prohibition in Marion County will open April 1 - June 27, 2020.
The exhibit hi-lights events during the Prohibition Era from 1920-1933 and the continuing effort of lawmen to curtail bootlegging in our dry county. In focus is the murder of Sheriff Polk on his front porch in Bunker Hill, on April 22, 1960. The exhibit also gives a sense of history about liquor in these United States from 1630 onward.
